I am so proud of myself for
not missing a single workout, especially during finals week! Normally I don’t
stress about missing a workout during finals week, but it was really nice to
exercise during finals week. It gave me more energy and a much needed break
from studying! Now that I am halfway to being a p90x grad I wanted to do a “progress
check”.
What I think I am doing
well:
- Improving my diet. Shakeology has really helped me improve my diet. I can tell that I have more energy, because I am getting the nutrients my body needs! The chocolate flavor tastes like a chocolate milkshake so it really helps with my sweet tooth! (I have a weakness for candy)! Also, I have been going to my local co-op more frequently to buy vegetables and making food with more vegetables. Click here to learn more about Shakeology!
- Not missing a single workout! I am so proud of myself! Even when I was exhausted last night from a week of finals I still my back/biceps workout AND Ab Ripper X! Having the support of my Beachbody crew has helped me so much. This would not have been possible a few months before. My chocolate Shakeology milkshake! I just blend 1/2 cup soymilk, a cup of water and ice with my chocolate Shakeology. Only 200 calories! Yum!
Things I would like to
improve over the next 45 days:
- I would like to keep improving my diet. Finals week was rough… many Goldfish crackers were consumed in the attempt to pass my classes! At one point I even begged my boyfriend to go to the store and get me some chewy candy (rock bottom?...). Luckily (for my diet) he was sick and couldn’t go to the store.
- Lately I have been getting in the bad habit of pausing my workouts. Obviously if you need to pause the workouts there is nothing wrong with that! However, I have been pausing my workout videos frequently even though I don’t “need” to, because I’ll get a text message or I’ll remember I need to email someone or I’ll remember I need to do something else. I need to stop doing this because I know I will get a better workout (and better results!) if I don’t take any extra breaks. So, maybe I will keep a notepad next to me when I exercise and if I think of anything I need to do I will write it down.
Here are my progress photos. I can see an improvement in my abs and thighs. Over the next 45 days I would like to see more improvement in my thighs, because that is my trouble area!
